Default Rear Pinion Seal.

I need a little help doing my rear pinion seal..do I just take my rear driveline off and pull the rest or it out? Or how would I go about this process...my jeep is a 1990 xj 4" lift on 33 mickey thompsons 4.0 V6...thanks

first, welcome to the forum.
If you have a 1990 jeep XJ and a 4" lift on 33" MT you SHOULD know that the 4.0 is NOT a V6 it's a I6. STRAIGHT not V.

just remove the driveshaft, remove the yoke nut, washer, old seal, place the new seal in.

If you read the op you SHOULD know he's doing the REAR pinion seal not the FRONT. Haha jk.

ok first you have to roll the jeep on to its side, then you have to remove the t-case, and then take off the drivers door. take your drivers door and throw it off a mountain and WALLA..all done!!!. jk, just follow the write-up in previous post, it is right on the spot

You know.. since were all raggin and jk'n this.guy, all our.pinion seals WILL fail on the trail leaving us with the other kind of welded spider gear. Karma :-)

couldn't help it, he called the 4.0 a V6...we all started somewhere
