Default Rear passenger window seal?

Hey y’all,

im pretty sure I’m just having a lapses or something but I don’t even know what to call this but, I’m suspecting the top bit of this little trim piece needs to get replaced. And I don’t even know how to go about replacing it.

sorry I’m on my mobile and don’t know how to rotate the picture

I went out to look at mine thinking maybe there was a little cover over it and you were missing it.
Tough to see in the dark and under my rain guard but don't think there is.
Thinking maybe it just slid down a bit.

I believe they CAN slide down a little IIRC. All 4 of mine are "missing" the top part like that, but mine look old and cracked off. Its super annoying with the wind sound coming through. Those are notorious for that problem. If you've never heard of this guy, go to youtube and find the "Bleepin' Jeep" channel. That dude is amazing, has a ton of XJ videos, and has specific videos for changing ALL window seals. its actually a few guys from around the country that contribute to the channel, but the main guy contributes A LOT!

I thought that too but when I looked this morning it looks like part of it was broken off unless it’s two half’s

is this just the window channel?

That piece is all part of the little fixed window.
Forgotten I had pictures of them when I swapped out my regular glass for Factory Privacy Glass.
Not the best picture but all I have.

Did you try rolling down the window and pulling up on it?

By looking at that picture, I see a tab at the bottom with what looks like a screw hole. So maybe I was wrong and thinking something else when I said they could possibly slide down. Looks like its supposed to be fastened into place with that tab from looking at that picture. But I AM 99% sure it can be replaced without replacing the glass.....

I have seen a guy or two selling just the glass on Ebay. Which struck me as odd.
So when I did the swap I looked at them quickly trying to figure out how you separate them.
Nothing jumped out me and I stopped looking after about a minute. LOL.
And yes that tab just is secured inside the lower part of the door.
Same with the tab at the top.
Do me favor.
Open the door and see if that screw for the tab at the top is still secure.

You may be able to pull it up a little but it will likely slide back down. On both of my Jeeps they are shrunken and ripped on all 4 windows. Team Cherokee sells replacements.
