Sorry to hear it took so much work man. And that would be your transmission. Umm. Check the transmission fluid dipstick and make sure there's fluid in there?

That's your inspection cover and it in no way seals the fluid in. It might allow a bit more crud to find its way in there, but it's not going to get inside the tranny and really hurt anything. If it were mine I'd still try to take it off and flatten it out a bit.

It's around $60. Just get a regular pump, don't go for a high volume. I did a lot of reading before replacing mine in the spring and came to the conclusion that I just didn't need any more, so it's a waste of money. The high volume pump becomes more necessary with a stroker.

Ok, is there a procedure to go through to prime the pump or do I just crank it up as soon as I'm done?

Remove the cover and pack the pump with either grease or petroleum jelly and fire it up (the grease/jelly will dissolve). Or disconnect the fuel pump relay and turn it over several times for about 20-30 seconds, but that's hard on the starter.

As long as it's not hitting the flywheel I say don't even bother fooling with it. My 2 cents anyways.

Did you drop the axle far enough? With jackstands under the frame rails and a jack under the front axle, I suggest taking the front wheels off and disconnecting the shocks so that you can lower the axle and let it hang down. You need enough clearance to get past the oil pickup tube and the axle. Don't get frustrated to the point that you tear anything up, you shouldn't need any force at all, just maneuver it past that pickup tube instead of trying to remove or bend it.

Be aware that as the diff swings down it also swings backwards think pendulum. I did not remove any shocks springs or sway bar links on mine. I actually had to raise it from full droop once, the wheels were off.

Got front passenger wheel off. All bolt except ONE came off on the driver side. Bolt was stripped. Broken 2 sockets, an adapter, and my only ratchet trying to get it off and it has only gotten more stripped and not budged a bit... 0.o
