Default Rear main cap removal help

I am replacing my rear main seal, and was wondering if anyone knows of a trick to get the rear main cap to "pop" off. I have the bolts out, but cannot get it to break loose. I have tapped it with a hammer and a piece of wood to no avail. Any suggestions would be great. thanks

A brass nail punch.

Don't wanna sound like a jerk but if you do some searching you would be able to find aot of write-up and even a couple of video.

I have searched and watched the vids (the GC on youtube). I know that a brass punch is recommended. I just wanted to check if anyone one has done one recently and see how they did it. thanks for the info.

I did mine recently, mine basically fell out. LOL. U may have to go back and forth on the upper half to get it to work out.

I did my second, 3 weeks back, just like all write-ups.

You probably need more than "tapping".

I was finally able to get the seal out today. Had to loosen all main caps to take some pressure off the seal. hit it a few good times with a brass rod and it popped. Thanks for the help everyone.
