I just installed two 6" offroad HID lights on my bumper, I took the old Baja ones off and Put them under my rear bumper.
So Now I just switch em on and Can see 5-8ft back everywhere
First Question... Is it legal to drive with them on? It's like 2ft off the ground and it goes str8 across and down. Won't shine in anyways face while driving.
Second... Is there a easy way to hook them up to my back-up lights, And is that Legal?

Driving on the road with white lights on in the rear (according to an officer here in WI) is illegal. I would imagine that would pretty much apply for all states.
Pretty sure it is illegal everywhere if not it should be. Somebody coming up the road behind you say after a curve would think somebody was backing up the road and do something wrong like swerve into a tree.
I have some little halogen mounted under the hitch on my F100 I use for back up lights. I had to un-wire them in an emergency once to run an electric fuel pump and have not got around to wiring them back up. If the lights draw much current at all I would want to use a relay on them. The old original back up light wiring was only set up to power a small 1165 type bulb not a 50w light.
I'll use the original back up light switch to power the relay. The relay will get power straight from either the battery or fuse block and run it back to the lights.
