When I close my rear hatch the interior lights stay on. I know I can just push the button on the cargo light and turn them PCCillin but I would like to fix the.switch. I went in there and lubed it up and tied to adjust it a little by bending it. Looking at the set up the switch should work. When I close it the light stays on then if I push a little it goes off then if I push harder it comes back on. I.just don't get it. Any help? 90laredo

 

What year is your Cherokee ? Not all Cherokees have a lift gate light switch push botton built into the door frame like the sides doors have.

 

90.... it is built in to the latch.
