i was seriously considering doing a stroker engine rebuild but decide to just go with stock rebuild with probably a .20 or .30 over bore. hopefully my Junk yard engine i found will have decent parts in it that i can reuse! if not ill be looking for top quality replacement parts. any suggestions for my first jeep engine overhaul and keeping it stock!

I am in the big middle of building an engine. I went with some modern pistons, hypereutectic with teflon skirts, .040 over on the bore and .010 under. Ordered everything new that i could, pushrods, rocker arms, etc. Its turning out pretty sweet i think! Can't wait to fire this baby up!

i seriously considered the 4.7 stoker but i am trying to use as many existing parts as i can ie: crank and rods. if i did a stroker i would have to buy new connecting rods and a crank!. anyhow i figure she still runs good as a stock engine with 208,000 on her why not keep her that way. now if i had a lift and stuff maybe!
