Default Rear end question

here goes I want to upgrade my difs i wanna do d44's I was told that some year wranglers came with d44's dose anyone know what years will bolt into my xj

The TJ Rubicon came with 44s but they aren't much of an upgrade and the rear isn't a bolt in. The front is a LP 30 with a 44 ring and pinion. You would need to cut off all the brackets on the rear and weld on spring and shock mounts. They also came with either air or electric lockers so you would need a way to activate those. For what they cost you would be better off building real 44s. A non Rubi 44 rear could be found in some TJs but the same fab work would be needed for it minus the locker.

everything i have heard the rear 44 is junk and everyone has there .02 into it but most say the ford 8.8 95+ is better than a rear 44. what size tires do you want to run
