so... the story goes: I heard a 'chattering' from my rear end on saturday when taking off from a stop, checked the diff and it was full of lube. drove it to work today with no issues, came to a stop on the way home and when taking off I heard the metallic chatter sound again. I put it up on stands tonight, put it in drive and only the driver side rear tire is spinning with the passenger tire jerking like it wants to move, but doesn't. I really don't know much about differentials, not something i have ever messed with. what am I looking at here? thanks in advance for your thoughts and opinions.

always think simple first, not sure why I didn't think of that. however I did get up under the jeep while I had the tires rolling and the sound is definitely coming from the differential. I had my ear right next to it. will update tho after pulling the drum.
