Rear driver window non functional? Lots of info help me :)
Alright so this driver side rear window has been non functional since I purchased the Jeep 2 years ago.
Already bypassed the window lock switch hardwired, not the paper clip method haha
I stabbed a multimeter through the power window wires behind the door panel
(not connected to regulator) and got this:
Without touching either switch with meter in DC reads constant- 0.476 V
Using driver window switch
Down: No change from constant voltage
Up: 0.017V
Using driver rear window switch on door itself
Down: 12V
Up: 0.55V
So yes the window will go down, but will not come back up using the switches in the Jeep.
(It will come back up using a battery and manually applying/switching power)
Which confirms the regulator works.
I looked over all the wiring from the door up to the driver switches and didnt see any cuts or shorts?
Kind of confused here, I am not new to wiring by any means but I have no idea where to start to tear into this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

hmm, well youve done your part it testing the issue, so thank you! i gotta say you sound like you know more than me on the subject, so ill ask a question or two- despite having bypassed the switch, is the wiring for all the door switches thru the master switch on drivers door? and if so, could a bad switch still be the cause of it not working? what voltages do the other doors read? would low signal from other doors indicate the master switch in any way?

Im thinking it could be, and I would take off the other door panels if I had to, but I am very lazy and rather wouldnt haha
I tried using the switch from the other rear door once before and it didnt change anything. I am seriously considering trying to figure out how to just wire up a constant 12V to both switches and be done with it. Would probably be the easy route

I am pretty sure all windows go back to that master switch yea. Just not sure how all windows could be working besides the one.
