Default Rear diff leak

My rear diff is leaking where the prop shaft enters the diff (LSD on D35, ABS).

I've never worked on this part of the Jeep before. Is it difficult to pull this apart and fit a new seal? Any guides I could follow?

Thanks in advance chaps

Well sir,,,,,

the Universal has to be removed (rear end of driveshaft), make sure you make the relationship that is went together or else you might incur some driveshaft wobble/loping/vibration if you dont.

second, once you have the driveshaft u-joint off, you should be able to remove the "yoke" which is still in the diff-case..then there si a seal which a handy-dandy seal puller removes quite nicely.....

get your new seal, clean out yoke housing real good, pop the new seal in (i used a block of wood to flush it up, then a large socket (size of the seal circumference) and seated it. On yours you may have a cir-clip (not sure), use a set of theose fancy ring pliers for installing the cir-clip.
put the yoke back in, re-attach driveshaft vis-a-vie the "new" u-joint u just bought (right?). and you should be good......

just my .002 euros sir!

And they ask me why I

I did my pinion seal not to long ago but it was on a c8.25 ( I don't think there is a difference as far what you have to do) just make sure you mark your yoke and yoke nut and anything else you take off so you can put it all back the exactly how it came off .... the yoke nut is a PITA to get off!!!!
