Rear defrost, wiper and lock problem

Rear defrost, wiper and lock problem
Hi all,
I have a problem with my rear defrost, wiper and door lock. I turned on my rear defrost on morning and it came on for around 30 seconds but cut off. I haven't been able to turn it on since. My rear wiper only works when I wash the back window. My rear hatch doesn't unlock when I press the unlock button on my key or the button on my door. All this happened within the span of about three weeks. My question is, is it possible that all these problems could be caused by one thing. I checked the fuses for the wiper and defrost and they were fine.
