Default Rear brake shoe replacement question.

what size rear shoes does a d35 need? because i see that there are two sizes. 10x2 1/2" and 10x 1.75. thanks!

i just found out that you have to measure the drum and that will tell you. but im not sure. and i guess there are three different sizes of shoes not 2.

Measure the inside of the drum, or your old shoes.

the 35 has the smaller of the two, changed em a while ago, thought i got either 9" or 10"

all d35's i've worked on had 9 inch drums and were smooth.
my d44 has 10 inch drums and have the fins.

does it matter what shoe you put on either side or is one shorter than the other?

yes it matters, one will have a small stud for the adjuster and spring. the other side has to mirror that.
