Slowly working on my rust-bucket 96 and the wheel cylinders were today's project. Shockingly I got the bolts out of them, but the rear brake line from the cylinder to the "tee" on the axle snapped. It appears to be a regular brake line that I could bend myself, but it has some metal wire wrapped around it, I assume for added strength. Any ideas what I should replace it with? Just a regular line? A braided stainless line? Look for that protected line?

Regular bulk line from NAPA will work, or you may be able to find line at the boneyard I would try the boneyard rout first, then it have the extra protection and fit right.
That armor is nice, but none of the aftermarket replacement (universal) lines have it. Just get a pre-flared line of the correct length and bend it to shape. I wouldn't mess with used brake lines.

I did that on mine and checked the master cylinder first.

I suppose bending my own would be easy enough. That's a fairly simple series of bends and only about 15" long and I assume that new line will outlast how long I have this thing anyway. Thanks for the input!
