Default Rear axle seals

Anyone have a good writeup on how to do this?

I went to change my rear brakes and it was loaded with grease.

This is off of a 98.

Thanks...doesn't look too bad at all.

I was reading somewhere that I would have to get my axles sent out. Looks like that's not the case.

I know that there were 2 types of diff gaskets when I did my fluid change a while back and mine was the chrysler one.

Just want to be sure mine will be like the above link before I dive into this.

If you have the Chrysler 8.25 then it's the same method as in the link Dan provided.

After talking to some guys they were saying that the bolt that holds the pin in breaks alot. Should I have one of these on hand or is that uncommon on these?

Also...would any 1/4" 12pt wrench work to get that out?
