Default RE Shocks review please

What can you guys tell me about the Rubicon Express DT 3000 shocks? I realize they make a great suspension kit, but their shocks look generic. How is their ride and longevity?

Thanks,
s

Those shocks aren't their's, those are the low end they offer. Their shocks are silver and labeled RE Twin Tube. Those you list are basically the same as Rusty's shocks.

I'm trying to not invest more in the suspension than the Jeep is worth (but that seems to be increadibly difficult when looking for decent DD handling). What should I know about these 'low end' shocks?

I'm currently considering two lift options:
1. RE SuperRide with full leaf packs for a hush under $600 and they come with these DT3000's.

2. Rough Country Series II kit with full leaf packs for $609 before the 10% discount.

Since the prices are comparable, I thought I'd go with the more highly regarded kit (RE), but the shocks have me worried a bit. What is a good 'bang for your buck' shock that doesn't break the bank to shove under each corner of my XJ with the SuperRide?

Thanks,
s

DT's are deutch tech ? bad spelling but you get the idea, Ive ran them on the rear of mine now for about 5 yrs and had no problem at all , swapped out to the Rubicon mono tubes in the front , what a differance !!!

I ordered my RE lift from JeepinOutfitters, the prices on the shocks from them are much cheaper so I got the MonoTubes. RedRock4x4.com had some pretty smokin deals too, depending on the package you want!

I bought mine from 4X4groupbuy.com with my lift. The monotubes are usually pretty expensive, but I got them cheaper packaged with my kit.
