Default RE Flex Joint Rebuild?????

ok my cherokee came with a 3.5" re superflex. The control arms have the rebuildable flex joint. I cannot get them apart. Is there a secret? I removed the allenhead set screw then what? I know there is a speacial tool but is there any other way?

Spanner wrench may work if you can find the size.

I ended up buying RE's tools, much easier. First time i had to rebuild the SF arms i put two drifts in a bench vice spaced to fit the holes in the joints collar. It wallowed out the holes a bit and made it tough to get it tight enough for reassembly.

I've used the spanner from a DeWalt handheld grinder on them.

FWIW,
Anytime I work on any RE threaded part I coat the bejesus outta the damn thing with anti-seize.
