Default Rear Main seal and timing chain seal

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a 4.0 blow out the rear main seal and the timing chain seal. I have been working on my 2001 Cherokee trying to save this engine and I keep finding more and more things. I was wondering if there could have been a problem with the ccv valve and it built up too much pressure inside the engine or if it was just that time for both seals to go out. I can blow air through both ends of the valve cover but it was when I noticed air comming out of the timing chain cover that I though I might have more problems that I thought. If you have any advice or thoughts I would appreciate it.
