I just put a 6.5 rough country lift on my 01 xj. The back sits real nice but front doesn`t sit as high...anyone else have this lift and have the same problem? I was going to buy 1.50 spring spacers to level this out? Let me know what everyone thinks? Thanks
how much of a sag does it have if its not that much i wouldnt worry about it as the rear leafs will sag after a little while also did you measure to see how nuch lift you got in the front and rear make sure you got the right coils

here is the funny thing...i had a 4.5 rc lift on it already and when i took the 4.5 lift off i put the 6.5 and 4.5 coils together and they were the same height....i called rc and they told me there suppose to be because of something with the radial or something like that with the coil springs? but yes the front sags enough for someone to notice. i`m gonna try calling rc again on monday and see what someone different says to me?

the rear is made to sit a bit higher because of cargo sag......it may settle a bit but you may need some spacers....OOH ya i want to see some pics because that is the same kit i want.

We just put the RC 6.5 inch kit on my son's 87 XJ a couple of weeks ago. What lengths did you adjust you upper and lower control arms out to? That matters greatly on how high your front end sits. If the control arams are set too short it will pull to the rear on your coil springs making them provide less lift. I do know that the onlt difference in the rear set up on this lift with their 4.5 inch lift is the rear shackle that comes with it. That shackle when with the spring attached to the bottom hole provides the other 2 inches of lift. Less expensive way to offer 2 different lift kits without making separate spring packs for each. Plus the lesser arched spring will flex better. That is VERY odd that the 4.5 and 6.5 coil springs were both the same length. I really don't see how that could logically work for both lift heights. I'm betting they did give you the wrong springs for your 6.5 inch lift kit. Because the 6.5 inch RC lift kit we put on my son's XJ sits perfectly level. But, like I said. I did some personal research on what to set the control arms to for 6.5 inch lift.

Because we learned by my mistake that Rusty's kits are more expensive than RC....and my Rusty's kit did not sit level after I installed it. While my son's RC 6.5 inch lift kit sits perfectly level after we installed it. We also learned that Rusty's charges way more in shipping than RC and their customer service sucks.

well i got the new flex upper and lower control arms..when i adj. them i set them exactly the way the directions told me. i believe the lowers were 16.5 center to center and i dont remember what i set the uppers to. as for the back shackle i did set the leaf to the lower hole. i measured from the ground to the bottom of the fender flare on the back and front of my xj and its about 1 3/4" to 2" off from back to front. and yes i took the 4.5 lift off and matched up the coils from both kits and they were exaclty the same?
