Default RC 4.5" install

took me 6 hours and only got the front of the lift done... of course i dont have the best of tools. i didnt use a spring compressor, but it was a pain in the *** to drop everything in the front and line up the lower and upper control arms to reconnect. its a ROUGH job, but if i can do it ANYBODY can do it. im about to go start the back, i've been told the hardest part is over, but im SCARED of the Add-a-leafs its gonna suck any advice?

jack up the back, remove the rear tires, unbolt your axle and lower it slowly to the ground, put a big c clamp on the spring in front and back of the centering pin, cut the nut off the centering pin, slowly loosen each clamp till all tension is removed, put in add a leaf with centering pin aligning the leafs, use the c clamps to tighten the leafs to each other ( DO NOT USE THE PIN TO PULL THE LEAFS TOGETHER). Once the leafs are tight to each other tighten the center pin. Your add a leaf is finished.

On a side note, if you were able to do the front and without spring compressors you should be able to do the rear with your eyes closed so dont sweat it.

As far as the install, AAL's are easy. If you went with long AAL's and your current springs are good, no worries.

The AAL will go right under the main leaf, then the rest will go under the AAL.

Jack it from the diff and use jack stands from under the unibody rails to lower it onto. Make sure you block the wheels first!!

Mine did the same thing. Higher jack stands are a must. They will really come in handy after you lift it.
