Default Rattling/Knocking while braking

hey guys, my 96 xj is making a rattling noise while i am coming to a stop from the front driver side. seems to be right under my feet. It doesnt sound very metalicy but i am not sure what it it, on first inspection i havent noticed anything that looked "out of place" but need some ideas on things to give some more.

Thanks

You might check to see if your control arm bushings are worn out. The trailing edge mounts right down there by your feet. Try moving the end around with a pry bar to see how much slack is in them. Or jacking up the Jeep by the bumper or radiator support and letting the front axle hang. That might help by taking the load off the bushing and let it move more free while you check it out.

I'm hearing a similar sound under acceleraion. I need to check mine too.
