i have a 92, 5 speed cherokee. it has been randomly not starting from time to time... when it does start, the shifter shakes and runs like I have a broke motor mount, after 2000 rpm it seems to smooth out. However I feel the problems might be the same. Has anyone ran into something like this.

I might ad that about a year ago, I tried pulling someone out a hole. In the process I got some bad odor and black smoke. Its never been right since.
