Default Radio wont turn off?

I tried searching for this but was unsuccessful. I installed an aftermarket head unit in my stock 99 cherokee, and it froze "on". What I mean is it will not turn off, and froze with "AUX In" on the screen. Irregardless if I turn it off or not, it stays on. Tried pulling the fuse, didnt do a thing to it. Took off the face plate and still lights up in the usb input.

For now I totally unplugged it at the harness, but dont know how to continue from here.... any ideas?

Yeah, check your wiring. Sounds like you switched the radio power lead with the memory/clock hot lead.....OR......may not be wiring at all....push the on/off switch and hold it in for a few seconds to turn radio off.

I like fred's idea, but maybe that'll hurt others. Took it apart, tried everything and re did the shrink cinnectors on the 12v constant, and the ignition switch. When I redid the ground I it to a different ground wire, and it worked. So I ran a whole new ground wire, and back to normal.
