I had this problem when I wired in my head unit and installed rear speakers (did not come with them)... I believe I checked mine with a multimeter as the color at the speaker was different than the color at the head unit.

Try this.>>->DCP-Wiring.pdf (application/pdf Object)
Or this>>->The Install Doctor - The Do-It-Yourself Car Stereo Installation Resource

i went through all the headache of testing it with a multimeter, it took me awhile but i finally got it. then i looked on top of the stock radio and it had a sticker on the top that had every wire all labeled for me. so if you have your stock radio check on top of there.

Ok I had the exact same problem and it seems that those wiring diagrams are not the same as the wires in my jeep. But my brother in law came over (he's a heavy duty mechanic) and he said that like wires should be together green with green and white etc and then you grab a nine volt battery and hook up one wire (green) to a side and hook up the matching wire (green and white) to the other side of the battery and whichever speaker crackles that is the one. then there should be 3 wires left over turn the key on and the 2 that have power you need (the third leave unless there is a remaining wire it is prob for a remote or something) and these are your 2 main wires, turn the key off and there should be one with power this is the one to keep your date and time, the last one is for your faceplate.

Sorry about the speech I just learned this and wanted to pass it on.
