a few days ago i put the light bar on my jeep and fixed my wiring to the stero went to turn my lights on and off went the radio will not turn on as long as headlights are on the radio is an aftermarket pinoneer i had to cut the orginal factroy harness when i wired it last year so basicly its got the harness that fits the pioneer radio hard wired to the trucks wiring i checked diagrams the wires they say to use will not work properly if it helps any the radio will not save any thing

 

well think dude run your lights a diff rout like straight to the battery with a switch in the cab it works fine like that

 

you may have wired it wrong. usually when you turn on your headlights, the radio has a back light that turns on, so if you wired it wrong, it may have a circuit protector built in that stops the radio. try re looking over your wiring. and also, if you can, try un-hooking the wire that is for the "back light" or something else that the headlights would turn on.
