Ok, now that we are done joking with burning this guys jeep to the ground, I am curious if you have resolved this. I have never seen a wire short or a harness just go bad. Its usualy the result of a loose wire in the harness, not just a bad harness. But these things can be tough to look at because they are hard to see. Most of the time blowing a fuse is the sign of wrong wiring hook up. I am not always a fan of these universal harnesses either but when I do use them, I pay very close attention to what wires are plugging into each other. I am also not a fan of wiring anything directly to your fuse box. I know they make connectors for that but it still leaves you with an unresolved wiring issue. I would purchase or borrow a volt meter and check each wire first.
