Default Radio Amp

Where in the world is the amp on my Sport. I lost one channel (driver's front) and after t-shooting the radio...the radio is okay. It looks like the channel is dropping within the amp. The service manual says that the amp is under the back seat on the left side. I can't find it anywhere back there. Any ideas?

If you don't have the INFINITY system there is no amp and your radio is toast. Unless of course the speaker that's quitting is in the drivers door, then you have a bad wire and just need to run a new one.

It must be the output to the left front speaker from the radio. The speaker sounds fine when pluged into another source. It must be just that one channel that went out because the other 3 speakers sound fine when picked with the joystick.

You may have damaged wiring in the door! do a search here and on Naxja. Also the joystick stereo's have a tendency to have problems with speaker outputs so that is possible. I would check for damaged wiring in the door first. I have a write up here or on xjtalk for it if needed.

I'll ohm check the wiring from the plug to the actual speaker to see if there is an open. If it's the contacts on the joystick, I'm going to have to take it appart and see if it's repairable...
