OK. Hello from the UK.I have had my XJ for 3 months now and when i picked it up it was misfiring and backfiring into the inlet manifold when running on LPG(Liquid Propane Gas), it does not do it so much on petrol but it still hesitates and misfires. Since then i have changed the Coil pack,plugs,Camshaft sensor,Air filter,front o2 sensor but to no avail.There are NO codes stored or pending and the MIL light if off.
I have pulled the fuse the the LPG and it is definately a fault with petrol.
I have cleaned the throttle body including tha IAC but still the same.
When you first start up it runs perfect but after about 8 - 10 secs the rpm drops and it starts mising at idle.
Sorry for the long post but i really need to get this sorted now.

Any ideas???Please help.

No experience with LPG, but it sounds like maybe timming or something is out of whack while on LPG. Not sure if different settings are needed between petrol and LPG.

I can't answer to your question but I'm very curious about your LPG 2000 XJ. Can you post pictures of your LPG contraptions in another thread? I'm very interested.
