My son and I both run ones from AutoZone under a $100 and works fine zero problems.

ok so how about fan clutches..

is hr Hayden Automotive 2625 Premium Fan Clutch a good one. i seem to remember hayden being a decent name..

not really having any cooling issues at this point but at over 200k on this thing and not real sure on the history of the cooling system and seeing how they seem to eat water pump impellers and radiators i'm thinking of replacing the rad, pump, stat. all hoses and the clutch. rather do it before winter gets here..

Well I've had one in my '92 XJ for 7 years. It has gone through several overheating episodes (not its fault). Still fine.

I sold the '87 XJ yesterday that had the new Murray radiator in it. So I'll never know if that one lasts OK.

Yup. Buying auto parts online, unless upgraded quality kind, is a waste. Having the local warranty is so helpful

Years ago all you needed to do was stop into a radiator shop. Most shops were able to re-core in less than 30 mins for under 30 dollars. Your radiator was pressure tested before leaving the shop, with a warranty.

For many years I got all my auto parts from local shops. You would get to know people who work in the shops and auto parts stores. If something failed the part usually could be replaced, under a store or manufacture warranty.

Currently we have no local auto parts, so I order mostly online. So far I've only had an alternator with a life-time warranty fail. Sent them the old one and a new one was delivered free of charge.

I've looked at various radiators, but none appear to be built as well as my old factory OEM.

I bought an apdi pro radiator from rockauto a couple of weeks ago and it seems fine. It's just single core but it's thicker than stock and I haven't seen the temp gauge go above 210 even in traffic with AC on
Less than $70 shipped
