radiator connection confusion

radiator connection confusion
So i got a radiator from an 87. im putting it in my 88. The radiator has no nipple for the hose to screw to. Does the hose from an 87 have the bolt on it that screws into the female port. Or is it the 88 that has that? will soomeone clear that up for me?

the upper transmission cooler hose on the radiator. there is no connection on the radiator for the 88 hose. So i need the 87 hose right?

i just ordered a hose from napa that should be the right hose i just want to make sure thats going to work. does anyone have a pic of an 87 upper tranny cooler hose fitting?
