Question radiator connection confusion

So i got a radiator from an 87. im putting it in my 88. The radiator has no nipple for the hose to screw to. Does the hose from an 87 have the bolt on it that screws into the female port. Or is it the 88 that has that? will soomeone clear that up for me?
