There is a **** on the draincock that you turn to open the drain. Is it closed when it's vertical, or horizontal? Only reason im asking is because i flushed my radiator today and mine was blocked, but in the process of screwing around with it i dont remember which way it was when was it is closed and dont need all my coolant leaking out if it becomes unblocked...

 

normally i would think you want it on the horizon just cause i would think it makes common sense for the line on the **** to follow the flow but dont quote me im not 100% it just would make sense you know but how much actually does these days

 

Pour some water in.

If it leaks out the drain, turn the **** the other way.

So easy a caveman can do it......

 

Mine is Horizontal, if that helps.
