Default quick easy question

hi everyone i was reading in the searches about figuring out if i have a lsd in my rear diff, i read if i put my jeep on a lift and turn a single rear wheel both would spin if it was lsd and only 1 would if it wasnt, true untrue or stupid lol??

Actually with lsd, both will turn the same direction, open diff one will spin the opposite direction, but i think if the clutches are shot it act like an open diff, best way to ID a lsd, is open the diff up.

to see if it works.... go outside starts jeep and put in drive. stand on the brake and gas see how many wheels spin lol then try donuts please post videos!

i love your enthusiasm but im gonna pass, i have 35" tires and a 4 litre ho, all im gonna do is snap my d/s/ yoke etc lol

only if you say pretty please.

so i have an open diff cuz my wheels spun in opposite directions which sucks, its bad for offroading right? how much are lsds that i can put in the dana diffs?

LSD is a step up from an open diff, but they have there limitations...

example if you have one tire off the ground a lsd will act just like an open diff. The clutches wear out again back to open. I would search for a "lunchbox" locker, but if you're new to wheeling, learn to wheel with an open diff, it'll make you better.
