hi everyone i was reading in the searches about figuring out if i have a lsd in my rear diff, i read if i put my jeep on a lift and turn a single rear wheel both would spin if it was lsd and only 1 would if it wasnt, true untrue or stupid lol??
Actually with lsd, both will turn the same direction, open diff one will spin the opposite direction, but i think if the clutches are shot it act like an open diff, best way to ID a lsd, is open the diff up.

example if you have one tire off the ground a lsd will act just like an open diff. The clutches wear out again back to open. I would search for a "lunchbox" locker, but if you're new to wheeling, learn to wheel with an open diff, it'll make you better.

LSD is a step up from an open diff, but they have there limitations...

so its not terrible to wheel with an open diff??
