Im ordering my new rims and tires right now, all lug nuts are universal right? I just dont wanna be a dumb*** and order some that arent gunna fit

I got black ones for my jeep on ebay for 20 bucks for my steel rims

 

No they are aluminum. Will they not work?

aluminum rims or lug nuts? and no not all lug nuts work. thats why there is 4-way tire irons. if u r going to use aluminum lug nuts its not to good, aluminum and steel are known to weld to each other

 

The rims are aluminum alloy, they are the MT sidebiters. But the lugs say they are for steel wheels, so your saying i shouldnt use those lugs with alloy wheels? Those are the only black ones on that site and i want to order everything together so i can get it all at once

 

Thats why i ask lol. You will need different lugs

 

i was saying no to aluminum lug nuts. but with regular nuts, you will be alright with that combo.

i just looked at the link provided and the only problem i really see is that those nuts might be a close fit to those rims and would require a special socket to take the wheels on and off. i have never had experience with the mt sidebiters so idk how big the holes are. i just kno in our shop we had 18 inch rims on a 94 suburban that were a b*tch to take off because the special socket we had broke under the pressure of the impact wrench. we had to take a perfectly good matco socket and grind the outside of the socket until it fit in the hole. keep in mind the stock nut size is 20mm per autozone.

 

Wouldnt they just require a 13/16 socket?

 

yes but if the hole in the wheel for the lugnut is meant to be for a 20mm nut you will have a hard time getting the 13/16 socket in that hole and also will ruin the finish on the wheel. 13/16" = 20.64mm. see what im saying now? but again i do not have experience with this wheel
