130 DRVR

Revered Cherokee drivers, I would like to know if there is a real easy way to determine my rear axle type in my 2wd 95? With a little more research I could probably figure it out but I am a little hungover right now and appreciate the "easy" button. Thanks for any help!

Measure your axle tubes,if it is 3",it is an 8.25. If it is 2-3/4" it is an D35.

no ABS it's an 8.25
with ABS it's a d35

but really, google these 2, then look under the back of your jeep and match it up.

or you can measure the axle tubes.

but you've probably got a 35.

D35 axles were used for both ABS and non-ABS.

Thanks for the feedback. Before I use the SEARCH engine, which axle is better: D35 or 8.25?

8.25,but D35 is good to if you do not abuse it to much.

Thanks! Ultimately (funds permitting) I plan on a 8.8 upgrade. I just have to figure out the gearing after I figure out my lift and tires.
