Queztion... Is this something you would normally find in a 92+ jeep cherokee? Base model? Im looking at a five speed for sale, and yet there is no tach. Speedo, fuel, temp, batt and the peripherals. But No tach. Is this a swapped cluster? Engine sounds appropriate for supposed mileage.

As a base model, maybe so. I've never actually seen one. My 90 Laredo has a tach, and gauges for the oil pressure, volt meter and coolant temp. rather than idiot lights.

Gotta be careful with those, some of those have a connection for a speedometer cable and I believe by '92 they were using a speed sensor. No cable hook up.

You have answered your question. Base model. Tachs where an option, and in this case it wasn't ordered. It's listed as this on the build sheet. (JAYP Instrument Cluster w/Tach ) There is probably other items not on there, That you haven't notice yet. Was there a factory trailer hitch, for example. My self, I like all the bells and whistles. Which are easily taken for granted until there not there. Like intermittent wipers, cruise control, Map lights, key less entry. just some of the options I use a lot.

Thank you guys. It definitely feels like the base model. kinda rough around the edges, but its got a solid core. Ax15 feels good. tc shifts smoothly and quietly. Rustys 4" coils, and random lift spring pack. Red colored shocks all around so they look aftermarket. aftermarket exhaust. AC blows but not cold. No radio. Aftermarket wheels, 31" bfgs. Oem track bar. Test drove smooth under 45, just needs to go over that, smoothly, to pass my test.

Gonna do another once over on the vehicle today I think. Sleep on it, then make my decision. I have owned 3xjs & an mj, but am still weary of buying a POS.
