Question airbag replacement
I have a 97 4x4 Cherokee country and I was wondering if replacing both airbags is something easy or difficult, or better yet something I could do my self or not

Probably not that difficult if you had a genuine factory 1997 XJ service manual to go by.
Not in the manual is this:
See pic.
Uncouple the airbag quick disconnect before attempting to remove the air bags. As you can see it's located under the steering column.

I wouldn't say I wrecked it, but I got in a small fender bender someone rear ended me fast, thank god for my hitch but I smashed into the person in front of me, and they went off, I'm sitting at like 300$ in body damage plus the bags

It takes a major hit to blow the airbags. Before spending any money on it, you need to have a body shop check for unibody damage. It may not be safe to operate any more.
