Do you have to get the jeep realigned if you install drop brackets?
What are the advantatges of drop brackets?
How much more down travel do you really get considering you don't the upper arms?
Thanks

drop brackets drop both the upper and lower control arms
the only thing you may disrupt is your caster. that is easily adjusted in the driveway with an angle finder on the upper ball joint and adjusting the length of the control arms

the only issue I've heard people complain about is the bracket getting hung up on rocks off road. It's a trade off. If you're not into rocks I wouldn't worry.

my RE5.5 kit came with the drop brackets that extended along the frame to the crossmember bolts.
they rarely ever held me up on the rocks, and that's mostly what our trails consist of.
they worked great, gave back almost stock control arm geometry and flexed the wheel droop to almost longarm distance.
if i hadn't went longarm, i'd still be running drop brackets for sure. the ride comfort is very similar.

Basically Db's drop the arms 3" and move them forward 1.5. Stock arms work great. As long as you put your shims and eveything back the way it was before, you shouldnt have nay caster issues. If you lift it any, you will have to center your steering wheel
