question about hood vents

Default question about hood vents

i really really want to install hood vents not only is it a cheap a great upgrade it looks really sweet!!!! but i live in Chicago and it rains and snows ALOT!!! don't the water run and drip in on the engine right over my air intake and ignition system(throttle body cap plugs plug wires etc) couldnt it screw something up??? not to mention the rusting factor????

re> hood vents . I installed 2 4x7 wall regesters heat./cooling vents on my hood. Not for looks but for hot air release . my cherokee does not over heat anymore,even with the air on going up kellogg hill on the 10 east sidewinder
