Question Question about 4wd linkage?

it appears to be on an angle and rubs on the tub of my cherokee and on the mounting bracket, i have problems trying to shift. i only have like a 2 inch lift so i dont think i would need a transfer case drop?

you might have the wrong cross-member, or some one changed the trans.
is it a 5 speed ?

yes it looks fine ,i dont see where its rubbing tho, all of the linkages i have seen do have a slight angle. its kinda hard to tell what going on just from a pic you know. put it back together except the connection at the tc
and move it back and forth to see where it binds.

You could either have a broken tranny mount or the cross member is in backwards. The engine is supposed to be off set to the passenger side and this one looks like it is off set to the driver side.

Thanks for the replies I'll check out the crossmember tomorrow. This may seem dumb but how do I kno if it's backwards or not?

It rubs on the bolts to the bracket bolted to the body, it won't turn past them
