me three butt i doing a 98 ho in my 2000 so far evethings good make sure its an xj block the i got ignition stuff left

Id make sure theyre the same generation, so you dont have those two different types of engines.

It will not work if you have emissions requirements where you are at. A 93 will never pass the emissions check for anything OBDII compliant, especially not a 2000. You also have the COP versus distributor issue which is hard to conquer. There are various sensors that changed over the years. I have been told the head off a COP engine will not work on an older block, but have never tried it myself, but I know the blocks did not remain the same, they changed oil passages and whatnot over the years.

well there are no emmisions testing here. but im pretty sure the sensors would be a giant pain.

what would i do about the fly wheel? use the one that goes into the 2000 engine? or customize a 93 cam?

You need to get engines from the same general /generational years then you wont have those kid of problems..like for a 2000 xj get a motor from a 99+. (some 98s have different random stuff, like injector pugs and such)
