96 Cherokee 4.0 auto, and when I'm sitting still, in drive, foot on the brake, idling about 800, it seems like the ole Jeep wants to pull forward more than other cars do, and I have to hold the brake down a bit more to keep it from creeping up. I've had this Jeep for 5 years and I think this is the way it's always been.
No big deal really, but I'm just curious...any advice on how or why the XJ is wanting to pull forward?
Thanks in advance

I think it's because it's in drive. My '99 will move right along at idle if I don't hold the brake. The 800 rpm sounds a bit high. Mine idles around 650 or so. I suppose that would make a difference.
