You may want to pull the cover off the Junction Block (JB) in the passenger foot well and examine the JB for evidence of water intrusion. The JB contains many of the START-RUN circuits.
Here's an image of a JB (not a 2000, but close):

You can blow out accessible areas of the JB with compressed air (only) to see if water droplets work their way out from the JB. Let us know what you find. You may have to go chasing fuses.
Here's an image of the 2000/2001 JB for your reference.

I've killed the battery like 4 or 5 times in the past 2 weeks. Could that be it? Thinking simple now. It won't start when I jump it though? Will a dead battery that is being jumped actually start the jeep?

Or maybe the alternator? Had to jump the jeep a lot to start it at all. Or the ignition switch? It is a repossessed jeep and the key was made for it. It fits the doors perfectly but to actually turn the key in the ignition you really have to play with it and jiggle it around/in and out.
I know how wrong that sounded.... I just need help

It's either an odd coincidence, or a wiring problem.
Check under the dash. Your Jeep may once have had an aftermarket alarm or remote start, which would be spliced into the existing wiring harness for the ignition.
That means they cut your factory wires and crimped in a remote start or security module.
That also means that it could easily have come undone, like what happened with my girlfriend's car when i was trying to replace a temperature blend door actuator - accidentally knocked one of the wires out of the connector and it wouldn't start.
Take a look under the steering column at your wires and see if anything came disconnected.

It does have a funky alarm looking thing with a orange blinking light behind the dash. I saw it while putting the new radio in. Its to the left of the radio, up against the top of the dash. I'll check it out when I get home

If you had a bad battery and left the doors open while removing carpet you may have killed it again.
The battery could be drained enough (or messed up) that even a jump wont make it start.
I'd say either get your battery tested or get a different battery and try it out.
