Pros and cons about the rear sway bar needed
I see a lot of people on CF not using the rear sway bar. what is the benifit/ Pros and Cons of this? If its flex then should i buy an aftermarker longer rear brake line so i dont rip mine off? i already have a rear brake line extender.

The rear sway bar is small and weak and doesn't do much anyway. Added to that, the links are short so if you run a lift they won't reach anyway, and you can't run longer ones due to the design. I haven't run one for six years and haven't missed it a bit.

Ditch the rear sway bar....im running about 3.5 inches in the rear and I'm ok at full flex with the stock rear brake line...Anything above that is really pushing it.

Pros: You will never notice the difference, without it, even if you tow alot.
Your XJ will flex .
You don't need to worry about the break line till you lift over 3". Then you pickup a YJ brake line, 3" longer.
Cons: None

Im not sure, but this is my opinion, from what I can tell the only reason they are on there is to compinsate for the weak factory srings.Once you put a lift on no more need for the sway bar.

I guess i should have put this in my first post but i have a 4.5" lift with 32's. sounds like i need to get the yj brake line before i remove it

I can't remember whats its like to have one but as for the rear brake line I would recomend changeing it to a longer one steel if you can afford it.

mine is a dd and i hardly ever have any on it. i havent had the rear rear in like 5 years or so and the front one i took off when i made longer front links with quick disco. i usually just forget to hook it backup so it hasnt bein hooked up in like almost a year. the only thing i have noticed is a lil dive to one side or the other when i brake hard and quickly
