I just bought a 92 stock XJ with a new 500 cold cranking amps battery. Should I immediately replace the battery with more power, or wait until the battery dies? I live in Southern California. For right now the battery works fine. Thanks.

I say if it aint broke, dont fix it. My 97 uses a Group 58 from Advance Auto, which i think is between 500-550 cca? I dont have any add-ons like lights or a winch so its been plenty.

I use a type 34 battery now, but when I bought My XJ it had a much smaller battery in it.
You won't have any issues, run it until it dies, then replace it with a Type 34
