Default which project would be simpilist?

finding a 4x4 5speed cherokee with a HO 6cylinder has proven to be an impossible task so now i am left with three options

EDIT: after further research, il make this way simpler. is it worth it to swap the v6 out of a 86 for a HO i6 from a newer car if the end goal is to build the stock engine for more horsepower. the HO i6s can get 245hp reliably, can the v6 do the same assuming it has low miles on it?

also the 86 has the ax5 tranny with it, would dropping an ax15 be any real trouble?

Do not get an 84-86 XJ. Just keep looking and be patient, one will turn up.

Won't fit. The radiator and front supports were pushed forward and I believe the hood was changed to fit the I6.
I've read that the GM 3.4's are close to a drop-in swap but have never personally done it. Info here:

Why HO only? Stands for Highly Overrated and was a marketing ploy by Chrysler and their egotistical engineers.

Well, someone needs to keep the record straight .......

And besides, it may open up more avenues for the OP.

You know plenty well a Chrysler 4.0 is just as long as a Renix 4.0 :P that won't fit either

I meant as far as finding a whole vehicle. Get a Renix instead of an HO. Expand your horizons. Own a piece of history. Learn to use a multimeter........Drive Cruiser crazy......LOL.

A multimeter? I thought it only took basic hand tools to work on Jeeps.
