Default ProComp ES2000 Universal Steering Stabilizer

Im looking to replace my stock steering stabalizer and was wondering if anybody had any experience with this one and/or know if it fits.
Its on craigslist for $20. Is this a good buy?

I have one. I like it. Havent had any problems with procomp. That's a decent deal you can buy it new for 34 on 4wd.com. Just depends how old it is.

Thanks for the quick responce! It says new. It doesnt have a boot on it though. Are the boots necessary?

no you dont have to have a boot, i think they are more for looks than really anything, they protect the rod but ive never ran any boots and ive never had anything happen

From what I've read on this forum and others, people don't really like the boots on. They say it's just a way to trap dirt and sand in there and corrode things. I personally don't use the boots either.

I have a boot on my steering stabilizer bc I wanna protect it from salt and everything. I clean mine out every time I wash my jeep.
