I'll be replacing my alternator this weekend. Got the napa 120 amp, may replace the main battery cables while I'm there if its not too difficult.

I think I have things pretty well covered, as stated one could get carried away 'fixing' things and be broke pretty fast. One thing I would like to do down the road would be to pull the motor, replace oil pan gasket, front and rear main and install brown dogs but that's going to be later down the road. I'm starting to see some weeping but no actual drips. I just hate a dirty greasy engine. Valve cover gasket and head gasket are new.

All in all I'm pretty lucky I suppose, no real issues other than the radiator fiasco, which may have been due to some bad radiator caps but I'd rather be safe than sorry! This has been a good rig, I've put nearly 10k miles on it in 6 months without a hiccup. My beater 96 got me through some long trips with zero issues, and that thing was a real pos, and at the time I didn't do ANYTHING to it, had no time, beat the crap out of it and it never let me down. I'm told a cherokee is the ideal rig for ND. I'm getting pretty excited!

fwiw, when i was doing a little reasearch on the 703's, there is a process to reset the ECU to relearn the fuel trim levels which takes a little while to take effect(50 start/warm up cycles IIRC), that you may want to account for if you're putting those on before leaving. I would imagine it would not be of any real detriment, but could effect mileage and possibly result in the vehicle not running at 100%. Just a thought.
