Do u know how old any/all of the cooling system components might be? Those ambient temps will demand the entire cooling system be in top notch condition.....everything degrades with age/miles. Also, no air flow restriction at the grille or between the condenser and radiator.

3 core all aluminum rAdiator, 180 degree F thermostat. New water pump, transmission cooler. All this can be bought in the states for under 300 dollars.

It would be easier to advise you if we had more information about your Jeep. Auto or manual trans, engine, mileage, stock or modified, maintance history and the year.
It is simple to install...... Cut transmission return line, and clamp the ends(splice) with the cooler lines. Mount coooler , done. Really simple. Drops transmission temp from 20 to 40 degrees. The bigger one the better(biggest is 60 bucks). God luck. Oh! Make sure to get the Hayden brand one.
engine: V6 - 4.0 Ltrs.
stock. (made for the USA not for the Gulf)
mileage: 131690.
year: 2001.
maintance history: I bought it 3 years ago, did many things; (trans. oil 2 times so far - )
50 degrees Celsius = 122 degrees Fahrenheit! Wow that is hot!
I belive you have the 4.0 liter in-line 6 aka 4.0 I6.
The 2000-2001 Cherokee have the infamous 0331 head which has a nasty habit of sometimes cracking. More often when the engine over heats but it can also crack for no apparent reason. Best advice I can give is to keep your cooling system in top condition and watch for unexplained coolant loss, increase in the oil level (coolant in oil) and creamy stuff on the oil fill cap. Any of these may indicate coolant in the oil which may be there because of a cracked head. The head may never crack but you must be aware of the danger from an over heated engine.
