Question A "practical" lift question for the experienced!

Hey guys, I'm like others in that I want a lot of gear for a little $$.
I am interested in a 3in lift.
I also NEED new leaf springs.
That said, why is it cheaper (by almost $200) to get new leaf springs from Quadratech and a rubicon express kit with an AAL?
If I buy a lift kit WITH leaf springs, I'm looking at around $700 or more!!
EXAMPLE: http://www.jeep4x4center.com/product...er=SJ-JC301KSH

What am I missing? How many people have bought an AAL kit w/ new leafs and saved a lot of $$$.
It just seems like this is the most practical solution, so I HAVE to be missing something.
Thanks for the input guys!

you can get a RoughCountry for 609.00 that has the same stuff in it and be able to add an adjustable trac bar to it for that price

it's cheaper to get the leafs from ProComp on the top of your regular 3" lift. and then you can sell your add-a-leafs from your kit and keep even more money in your pocket.

Damn Tural, I had never thought of that! Good thinking!
PosJeepXJ, I have scoured c-list but there are TONS of us Jeep maniacs out there so you have to be a "lucky one" with great timing to get a good deal.
I believe I have found the lift for me, it is the:
"Rustys RK-300SP-XJ XJ Cherokee 3" Spring Pack Kit".
http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchan...ode=sus_xj_kit

It's a little more than my wife wanted me to spend but isn't it always?!
Opinions? Gripes? Issues?

Thanks JeepGeek, I will keep that in mind, however, I DO need new leaf springs and I don't know why, but I have never gotten the "warm fuzzy" when it comes to lift blocks. I may have to bite the bullet and get the spring packs.
Is this fear of blocks completely ridiculous?
