Power windows only work from driver door?
I have a 99 XJ Classic. My power windows only work from the drivers door master switch. None of the other door switches work? The master switch has a lock for the other doors swiches but I have tried it both ways. Any thoughts what could be causing the other switches not to work?

It is most likely your window lock switch malfunctioning. When they go out you'll lose control of the windows independently. You can either get a new driver's door module (the thing has has all the window/lock switches on it), or you could try and take yours apart and inspect the window lock switch for damage. Some people have been successful simply shorting the window lock switch (effectively eliminating it). I mean really, when was the last time you locked your windows? Good luck.

I repaired that problem a couple months ago by installing jumper wire next to connector of master switch.
I connected tan wire (wire, providing + to master switch) to yellow wire (which provides power to rest of switches)
Check diagram.
Yellow wire can be also broken inside rubber boot of driver(most likely) or passenger door.
You can also open master switch to clean contacts.

There was actually a threa posted about this with a write up a day or two ago but I'm to lazy to find it. If you search on this forum a little harder you will surely find the answer.

A paper clip is only so reliable. Splicing in a connector wire is best.
